Growing up with weeknights filled with Toonami during the early days of the social internet, we discovered our love of anime from a young age. Between tuning into Dragon Ball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho after school to watching all of pre-time skip Naruto on YouTube (when that was legal), we knew from the get-go that anime would be something we loved for the rest of our lives. They were filled with amazing action, beautiful animation, and, most importantly, impactful stories that resonated with us more than American TV shows did. Maybe it was because Mary fell in love with Himura Kenshin at the age of 9 or because Luffy and Zatch Bell were so cool they blew Thomas' mind, but we have cherished anime for almost twenty years and are so happy to be able to share that passion on our podcast, Anime Doubleplay, hosted be two anime-crazed twins.
